Known popularly as the vampire facial, PRP (platelet rich plasma) therapy takes a patient’s own blood and spins it in a centrifuge to separate out its components. From there, the platelet rich plasma component is treated with a small amount of calcium to increase the healing process. The PRP is injected into the problem areas of the face to cause inflammation, which stimulates the skin’s healing process. The platelets release enzymes to initiate healing to cause new collagen to develop. The collagen will tighten and strengthen the treatment area for improved skin. Inland Empire board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Childers and the specialists at Sheer Beauty obtain outstanding results with this treatment for patients with lines and wrinkles, uneven or rough texture, lost volume, and/or scars. Usually, 2 – 3 treatments are needed and results can last up to two years.

"Glennda Rios is a life saver when it comes to skincare. Im almost 34, I suffer with a hormonal imbalance and I get "sun spots" or melasma as well as hormonal acne. I have been a patient of hers intermittently for many years. Like many of us, I slacked off in my skin care regime and now Glennda and I are working together so I can have happy, healthy skin again. I am a huge fan of the Vi PEEL, the Hydra Facial and many other products and services by Glennda. I really appreciate her broad knowledge of products and treatments as well as her ability to "read" your skin and know just how gentle or aggressive she can be to help you get the results you want. I'm going to attempt to post a before and after pic. The image on the left is on 5/8/18 and the one on the right is 5/19/18 today. Thank you for all you do Glennda. Beauty starts on the inside and you are a true reflection of that!"- H.R. / Yelp / May 19, 2018

"I just want to start of by saying I love this place! Since the first day I went in for a consultation and met Glennda! She explained everything I needed to know and the process for a skin peel and treatment. She is very loving and caring with her patients and loves her work. I'm definitely sticking to this place and taking care more of my skin thanks to her. Also, the staff there is so nice and greeting. My mom, myself and even my grandma are under treatment here because everyone is so welcoming and prices are affordable. If you're looking for acne treatment, Botox, lip fillers, etc. this is the place to go!"- Y.C. / Yelp / Mar 22, 2018
How it Works
Originally used in orthopedic medicine, reconstructive surgery, and dentistry, the principles of PRP therapy have been applied in dermatology for skin rejuvenation. A small amount of blood is drawn from the patient and then spun in a special centrifuge until the stem cells, platelets, and growth factors are concentrated, which turns it into platelet rich plasma (PRP). The prepared PRP is then applied to the face for 15–20 minutes as it stimulates the growth of new collagen and tissue.
PRP stimulates collagen growth for facial rejuvenation that helps to improve wrinkles, puffiness under the eyes, as well as enhancing the overall skin tone, texture, and elasticity. For the first 1-3 days after the procedure, patients may have some mild swelling, redness, and bruising. Patients will begin to see improvements to their skin in about 3-4 weeks after their treatment, which usually last about 6-18 months. For better results, patients can have multiple treatments, scheduled every 1-2 months.

PRP Therapy, with or without microneedling, is a great way to use your own platelets to rejuvenate your appearance. PRP Therapy helps patients with dark circle and puffiness under the eyes, fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, cheeks, and eyes, and makes the skin healthier, brighter, and firmer. Consider combining PRP Therapy with another professional facial service, like a chemical peel or injectable wrinkle filler, for faster, more dramatic results.
